Judy (Elkins) Brown, born on November 30, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Advent Health Hospice House in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was the cherished daughter of the late Wanda and Bob Ridgley.
Judy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert L. Brown. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Cindy Stotts, and son, Gregory Brown. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Leslie Wildes Brown, and son-in-law, Mike Stotts. Judy was a proud grandmother to Krista (Michael) Duncan, David (Jenna) Vest, Graham Brown, and Greyson Brown, and a great-grandmother to Bratcher and Braylen Duncan.
A graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, Judy went on to build a successful career as a licensed insurance agent, dedicating over 20 years to the profession.
Judy’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. She cherished the moments shared with loved ones, whether it was playing games with friends at Strive Senior Living or enjoying weekly dinners with her family. She was an avid fan of NASCAR and never missed watching a race. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Judy’s life was a testament to the importance of family, friendship, and community. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judy’s memory to Advent Hospice Care of Central Florida-Altamonte Springs or the American Kidney Fund.
A celebration of life will be held on January 2, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at The Journey Church located at 17716 Eagletown Road, Westfield, IN 46074.
