Judy Lynn Lazerson, protective sister, cherished aunt, and fabulous friend, passed away suddenly on November 11, 2024 at the age of 66, in Orlando, FL. Born in Rochester, New York, on March 24, 1958 to Robert and Ann Lazerson. Judy lived a life marked by creativity, kindness, and a deep love for her family, friends, and her beloved cats.
Judy’s professional journey took her to Chicago and Spartanburg, SC, before landing in Orlando as a television promotions writer/producer for WFTV-9 where she earned a reputation for her talent, dedication, and exceptional work ethic. She spent the final years of her career working at Lockheed Martin where she continued to thrive in her writing, bringing her unique perspective and skill to countless projects. Her colleagues admired her not only for her creativity but also for her genuine warmth and generosity-always willing to go the extra mile to support those around her.
Outside of her professional life, Judy’s passions were equally expansive. She was an avid cat lover, and her home was always a haven for her furry companions, who brought her immense joy. Her family and friends were the center of her world; she cherished every moment spent with them, offering love, support, and a listening ear. Judy brought the joy!
Judy was known for her laughter that would fill the room, her legendary pies, her meticulous crocheted blankets, each a work of art, and of course her gorgeous, curly hair! Her baking and crocheting brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to receive her creations. Her warmth extended into every corner of her life, whether it was with family gatherings, friendship, or simply offering a helping hand.
Judy’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her brother Lee (Becky) Parkland, FL, her nephew Robert (Kelly) Deerfield Beach, FL, her niece Samara Wohlfiel (Derek) Land O’ Lakes, FL, her treasured great nieces and nephews Liora, James, Abilene and Daphne Wohlfiel and Ari Lazerson, along with many dear cousins and friends who will forever carry her memory, and of course her beloved cats.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18, at Celebration Gardens where her family and friends will come together to honor her fabulous life.
Rest in peace, Judy. Your love and sweet laughter will never be forgotten.
