The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has released additional details regarding the man who was found deceased in an Orlando apartment on Wednesday.
In a media release on Friday, January 24, OCSO identified the deceased man as 22-year-old Kieran Ravin Patel.
At around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, OCSO deputies responded to Courtney Chase Apartments, which is located on Courtney Chase Circle in Orlando, in reference to a man in his 20s – later identified as Patel – who was found unresponsive in one of the units.
When deputies arrived, they observed that Patel had “obvious trauma to his body.” Orange County Fire Rescue personnel were already on scene, and they had pronounced him deceased.
In an update on Friday, OCSO said that a review of evidence at the scene indicates that Patel died from “self-inflicted injuries.” No further details were provided by the sheriff’s office.
The investigation into Patel’s death remains active and ongoing, according to OCSO.
