With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Yolanda Paniagua Reyes, who left this world on January 27, 2025, at the age of 74 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on February 23, 1950, in the Dominican Republic, to Salvador Paniagua and Paula Reyes.
Martha was a woman of many talents and passions. She graduated as a cosmetologist, but her true artistry shone through in arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, and fashion. She found joy in creating, whether it was with her hands or in the kitchen, where she perfected cherished family recipes. She also loved writing letters about her life experiences, preserving memories for future generations. Music was the heartbeat of her life, and she carried a song in her soul wherever she went.
A dedicated caregiver at heart, Martha owned and operated a daycare for 12 years, providing love and care to countless children in her community. Later, she spent 10 years as a home attendant for the elderly, offering compassion and support to those in need. Her kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on many families.
She was a mother to many, a wonderful soul, and a woman deeply rooted in her faith in God. She was always jovial, with a joke for every moment, a noble heart, and a strong yet kind character. She had a way of making anyone feel comfortable, offering advice, scolding when necessary, and always knowing just what to say. She adored Barbies, fashion, and looking her best, embracing every day with grace and style. She also loved capturing memories, always taking pictures with family and friends to cherish every moment.
Martha is survived by her beloved children, Yarazet, Stacy, and Joel; her cherished grandchildren, Zohar, Justin, Denzel, Jovell, Derek, and Princess; and her great-grandson, Zahir. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Lucy Paniagua, along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She touched the lives of so many with her kindness, wisdom, and generosity. She was a great listener, a giver of sound advice, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her presence brought warmth and laughter, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved. She lived by her own words:
“She came to this world to love, not to receive it.”
Martha’s love, laughter, and wisdom will never be forgotten. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched
