It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Veronica Hollenback, aged 58, on February 6th, 2025, after a short battle with an unexpected illness.

Chrissy was born on July 21st, 1966, in Winter Park, FL to Frank Harris and Mary Malatesta. She was a lifelong Seminole County resident, and a proud first graduating class of Lake Mary High School. She became a mother in 1990 which she would say became her purpose, having four children and then becoming a (saint) preschool teacher for 20 years.

She married the love of her life, Bill, in 2009, growing her family to have a lot more people to love. She loved to travel around the United States, experience adventures, and different cultures and cuisines with her husband, family, and friends. The family is heartbroken and shocked by her sudden death.

She was the sunshine and warmth of our lives. Chrissy, consistently described as the glue that holds her family together, was an exceptional mother and was an even more phenomenal Nonna. She had the best laugh, best smile, and fantastic taste in music.
She approached everything with grace and kindness, being the confidant we all needed and never complaining about the late-night phone call or visit. She strived to make sure everyone she interacted with was met with understanding, compassion, and kindness.
She balanced that grace and poise with always being down for a party, always joining you for just one more drink (a strong one), or in her wilder days, sneaking backstage at a Def Leppard concert.

All who knew her will miss her. She is survived by her husband Bill; her children Connor (Jacqueline), Veronica, HopeAnne, Quin, Julie (John), Jamie (Ralph), Billy; and her Grandchildren Drew, Alyssa, Brandt, Elise, Jack, Ian, and Rhys. She is also survived by her mother Fran, stepmother Rebecca, siblings Tony, Lisa, Andrew, and Michael, her nieces and nephews and countless other family and friends.

Please join us at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church – 575 Tuskawilla Rd, Winter Springs, Florida 32708 on March 8, at noon to celebrate her beautiful life.

Christine will be interred at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
