A 50-year-old Volusia County resident recently became a millionaire thanks to a $10 Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket he purchased at a local convenience store.
Bryan Hyers, of Holly Hill, stopped by the Florida Lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee to claim a top prize of $2 million from the MONOPOLY SECRET VAULT scratch-off game, according to lottery officials.
The lucky winner received a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,153,865.
Hyers purchased his winning ticket from the Speedway located at 1102 W Granada Boulevard in Ormond Beach. The retailer received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
Launched in July of 2024, MONOPOLY SECRET VAULT costs $10 and features four top prizes of $2 million, along with over $175 million in cash prizes and a total of 6.8 million winning tickets. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.41.
