Mr. Keith Edward Seifert, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Longwood, Florida, on March 11, 2025, at the age of 65.
He was born on March 9, 1960, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and lived a life full of passion, adventure, and love. Keith was a kind, gentle, warm and loving man. He deeply cherished his time with family and friends, had an enduring love for life and found joy in simple pleasures.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife, Sabine, his children, Jessica Seifert, Keith Seifert, Jr. (Kalee), and their son, Weston, and Allyson Seifert. He is also survived by his stepchildren; Alex Badorrek (Jessica) and their children, Mathias, Nikolai, and Arcadia, and Katrina Winters (Charles) and their daughter, Snow Elise. Keith leaves behind his brother, Richard Kurtz (Linda), his sister, Diane Parsons (Fred), and his stepmother, Lola Seifert. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Katherine Seifert, and his brother, Ronald Kurtz.
Keith’s greatest joy in life was his family, becoming a father to his three beautiful children Jessica, Keith Jr., and Allyson. He was a fun loving and joyful parent with a big imagination, making up stories with his children on long road trips, taking camping trips to the Florida wilderness, ski trips to Vail, Colorado, or going on cruises with his kids. Keith always loved to experience the joy of others with a sense of adventure and wonder and was a proud parent of his children’s accomplishments. Keith later found a deep and rich love the moment he became a grandfather, lovingly known as “Opi” in German, to his grandson Weston and to his step-grandchildren Mathias, Nikolai, Arcadia, and Snow Elise. A devoted sports enthusiast, Keith enjoyed fishing, skiing, the Kentucky Derby and Formula 1 Racing. Growing up in Louisville, Kentucky, he was immersed in the excitement of Derby season from an early age. As a teenager, he worked at the racetrack and later became a dedicated attendee, celebrating his 50th Kentucky Derby in May 2024. His passion for speed extended beyond horse racing-when he discovered Formula 1, he was hooked. His love for sports stretched from land to sea, spending countless days in the Florida Keys and southern coasts, diving and fishing with friends and family and spending afternoons in his neighborhood lakes and springs. Keith’s love for travel and culture was shared with family and friends across the country and around the world. He cherished his yearly Fourth of July road trip to Asheville, where he spent the holiday with his sister Diane and dear friend and brother-in-law, Fred Parsons. Each year, he also looked forward to his annual “guys” ski trip with his cousins, their sons, and his own son, Keith Jr. Beyond these traditions, he embarked on countless journeys with the love of his life, Sabine, traveling to Germany, Austria, and destinations around the world. Keith dedicated most of his career to the automotive industry, a field he was passionate about. His journey began in the 1980s when he worked at a dealership in Fort Lauderdale, gaining valuable experience and learning the trade. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he later moved to Orlando, where he took a leap of faith and started his own business. As a business owner, Keith built a successful career, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike through his expertise, dedication, and integrity. Above all, Keith was a kind and loving man who embraced life with warmth, enthusiasm, and a generous spirit. He was the kind of person who never met a stranger and found joy in the people he loved, the places he traveled, and the traditions he cherished. His legacy of laughter, adventure, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, with the Memorial Service beginning at 2:30 PM, at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 9001 Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751. After the memorial service, friends and family are invited to gather and share light refreshments. With Keith’s son being a local Florida Beekeeper, he always enjoyed hearing about ways to help save the Bees.
