Detectives are investigating a deadly shooting in Orlando that claimed the life of an 18-year-old man on Thursday evening.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 400 block of Creekwood Drive in Orlando at around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, in reference to a shooting incident.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found an 18-year-old man who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The following morning, the victim was identified by OCSO as Divine Leron Freitas.
“Detectives are still in the early stages of this homicide investigation,” said OCSO in a media release on Friday, March 21.
No further details were provided by the sheriff’s office regarding the shooting incident or any potential suspect(s).
