Ruben Santos Pablacio of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025. There will be no service at this time.

Ruben was born on March 3, 1939 to Pablo Pablacio and Crispina Santos Pablacio in Macalong La Paz, Tarla, Philippines. She married Elenita Mendoza on December 30, 1965.

Ruben graduated from Tarlac Trade School. He was a Certified Plant Mechanic and earned his B.S. Mechanical Engineering degree from Feati University in Manila Philippines. He worked for three years in Saudi Arabia to start-up a refrigeration plant. He moved his family to the USA in 1983 and worked at the Rutgers University (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ) until his retirement in 2004. He found his passion for fishing in his late 50s. He split his free time between baby sitting his grandchildren and fishing before they settled back in the Philippines, where and his wife retired. They went back to the USA and settled in Orlando with their daughter, Rosabelle, in 2021.

He was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Crispina, and his older brother, Jaime.

Ruben is survived by his wife, Elenita Mendoza Pablacio and his four children, Rosalie Pablacio Soliven (husband Nathaniel), Rosemarie Mendoza Pablacio, Rosabelle Pablacio Maramba (husband Earl) and Rodel Mendoza Pablacio (wife Jimalyn). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Tyler Maramba, Madison Maramba, Matthew Soliven, JC Soliven, Morgan Soliven and Logan Pablacio.

Ruben is also survived by his sisters, Ester Santos and Lina Flores, and brother, Dante Pablacio, and many in-laws and nephews and nieces and many other family and friends to cherish his memory.

There will be a private family moment at the Woodland Funeral Home and a Memorial Service celebrating his life at Resurrection Catholic Church at a later date.
