A 63-year-old Titusville woman was killed on Friday after crashing her motorcycle on Interstate 95 in Brevard County.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on I-95 Northbound, near mile marker 213, at around 5:10 p.m. on Friday, March 28, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP stated that the woman was heading northbound on the interstate, north of State Road 407, when she lost control of her 2008 Honda motorcycle. The vehicle then veered off the roadway and onto the median.
A trooper noted in the report that the woman fell from the motorcycle shortly after it traveled onto the median. She was transported to Parrish Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to the report.
The crash remains under investigation.
Earlier in the day on Friday, March 28, three people were killed after a car fleeing from FHP troopers collided with two tow trucks on an I-95 exit ramp in Brevard County.
