On March 11, 2025, Jolene Hogan was surrounded by the love of her family when she made her graceful exit. Jolene is survived by her three children: Gregory Lee Hogan (Katie), Michael Dean Hogan (Dana), and Susan Jolene Cart (Dennis). She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Michael Alan Hogan (Tara), Amanda Jolene Turner (Dustin), Sean Richard Hogan (April), Alex Benjamin Hogan, Kaitlyn Louise Conant (Luke), Benjamin Byron Hogan, Stephanie Diana Casey, and six Great-Grandchildren: Allie Jolene and Noah Michael Turner, James Byron and Clementine Faye Conant, Keyan John Casey and Camden Jay Patrick Hagar.

Jolene was a social person who had a remarkable ability to connect with people. She grew up in Kirksville, Missouri, and graduated from Park University in Parksville, Missouri. Jolene spent most of her career working for Aerospace as a security guard. Later in life, her desire to be around others placed her in a position to work with those in need, and she began working for Seniors helping Seniors. In addition, she volunteered with Space Coast Therapy Dogs, where she and Benji spread cheer and love by visiting hospitals and nursing homes in Brevard County.

In her spare time, Jolene was always a fan of jazz music and enjoyed dancing. She was active in the Merritt Island Chamber of Commerce for several years and wouldn’t go anywhere without her dog Benji (who she will be joining in Heaven) and Blitz, who she was happy to leave in the care of her family. Jolene understood the importance of family and spent every opportunity she could with them. She loved having family dinners, playing steak shoot, and celebrating every birthday and holiday together.

Jolene lived life to the fullest, passionately embracing family, friends, and fun. She had an amazing laugh and a passionate smile, an ability to get along with anyone, and seemed to always be the one in charge. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and independence.

Jolene is preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Noe and Charles Duffie, and sisters, Margaret Charlene, Mary Jane, and Norma Jean.

The family is eternally grateful for the comfort and support provided by the staff at Courtney Springs and St. Francis Hospice. Their love and patience allowed Jolene to be comfortable in the undoubtedly hardest part of her life.

“It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories. Your love is still our guide, and although we cannot see you, you are always by our side”

A visitation for Jolene will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Life Event Center Funeral Home, 5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, followed by a Celebration of life at 3:00 p.m.
