An Orlando drug dealer who distributed more than nine pounds of methamphetamine to another individual will spend the next 14 years in federal prison.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber sentenced 38-year-old Desean Williams to 14 years’ imprisonment for distribution and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Williams pleaded guilty to the charges in December of 2024.
According to the plea agreement, Williams distributed a total of 4,459 grams of methamphetamine to a man, Stephen Godbolt, on January 31, 2024.
Godbolt then sold 1,331 grams of that methamphetamine to a confidential informant who was working with a law enforcement agency. The remaining methamphetamine, which had been provided by Williams, was located inside Godbolt’s vehicle.
In September of 2024, Godbolt was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Marion County Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team. It is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Janette Swartzberg.
