Brendan Morrissey, 65 of Orlando, FL passed away on Saturday September 28, 2024.
Born in Mounty Holly, NJ and raised in Parkertown, NJ, he lived in Orlando, FL for the past 45 years where he frequently worked as a stagehand and in set construction. Brendan was a graduate of Southern Regional High School class of ’77 and achieved a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Western Illinois University.
He served in the US Army as a Military Police Officer with marksman qualifications in pistol and rifle shooting. He was a talented guitar player, singer and song writer who performed both in Orlando and in South Jersey and as a volunteer for the VA. Brendan was a good athlete with tremendous endurance as evidenced by his marathon running and cross-country cycling trips.
Brendan was predeceased by his parents Harry and Therese Morrissey and brother Patrick Morrissey.
He is survived by brothers Kevin Morrissey (Kristen) and Cormac Morrissey (Tiffany), sisters Siobhan Morrissey (Alfonso Chardi) and Deidre Dean (Frazer); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R. C. Church, Absecon, NJ on Friday April 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton. Visitation with the family will be at the church from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. before the Mass.
