A 19-year-old man was arrested in Osceola County after he allegedly pointed a rifle at a woman during a road rage incident.
On Monday, April 14, the incident began when the male suspect – identified as Jean Varela Sanchez – cut off a female driver/victim in traffic. As a result, the victim got upset and honked her horn at Sanchez, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim told investigators that Sanchez then pulled out a “long gun” and pointed it at her. She immediately called 911, and OCSO deputies were quickly able to track down Sanchez’s vehicle.

While searching Sanchez’s vehicle, deputies allegedly found a rifle. The sheriff’s office stated that Sanchez is unable to possess a firearm due to a domestic violence injunction against him.
Sanchez was arrested and transported to Osceola County Jail. He is facing several charges, including aggravated assault.
