The fatal collision occurred at around 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, near the intersection of 18th Street and Woods Street, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The elderly man was traveling eastbound on 18th Street, west of the Woods Street intersection, in a 2012 Ford Escape. A second vehicle, identified in the report as a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica, was parked facing west on 18th Street, near the same intersection.
An FHP trooper mentioned in the report that the Chrysler was unoccupied.
