The Florida Department of Health has temporarily suspended the license of a certified nursing assistant from Orlando, more than a year after she showed up to work intoxicated and blew over four times the legal blood alcohol content limit.
In a final order filed on Thursday, May 15, 2025, certified nursing assistant Betty Anacreon’s license was suspended for a minimum of one year in connection with an incident that occurred in February of 2024.
According to the administrative complaint filed against Anacreon, she arrived approximately 10 minutes late for her shift at Solaris Healthcare Apopka on or about February 4, 2024. After entering the facility, she immediately went into the bathroom.
No one in the facility saw or heard from Anacreon for approximately 25 minutes. A nurse then went into the bathroom and found Anacreon, observing that she appeared to be “impaired.”
The compliant further states that Anacreon “smelled of alcohol” and “could barely communicate.” In addition, she was “hobbling around the restroom with her pants pulled down.”
Paramedics were contacted, and they transported Anacreon to a local hospital. A blood alcohol test was administered, which revealed that she was more than four times over the legal limit with 0.381 grams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood.
The final order states that Anacreon must contact the Intervention Project for Nurses and undergo a coordinated evaluation, with those results determining whether or not her license will be reinstated following the one-year suspension.
Health department records show that Anacreon originally obtained her certified nursing assistant license in January of 2005.
