Three men and two women from Kissimmee are facing lengthy prison sentences after pleading guilty to their involvement in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine in Central Florida.
On Monday, June 9, U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced that 26-year-old Luis Ruben Martinez Calderon pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine. He was the final defendant to enter a guilty plea in this case.
The remaining defendants in this case – Quamain Alique Barber (34), Bernardo Antonio Brea (31), Aisha Nicolle Sanchez (25), and Evelyn Calderon (57) – also pleaded guilty to a drug conspiracy charge. Additionally, Brea pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm by a convicted felon and Barber pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
According to the plea agreements, Martinez Calderon regularly supplied retail dealers, including Barber, from his apartment in Kissimmee. Martinez Calderon lived there with his girlfriend, Sanchez.
In January of 2025, Barber sold cocaine to an undercover officer, and he immediately drove to Martinez Calderon’s apartment to be “resupplied.”
During an investigation, law enforcement discovered that Martinez Calderon supplied Barber with cocaine that Martinez Calderon had stored with his mother, Calderon. Specifically, Calderon resupplied her son, Martinez Calderon, with cocaine when he needed it.
Sanchez traveled to Calderon’s home to recover a suitcase containing at least two kilograms of cocaine, which was then given to Martinez Calderon to distribute.
In late January of 2025, Brea helped Martinez Calderon obtain cocaine for Barber to distribute.
On February 6, a series of arrest warrants were executed by law enforcement, and Brea and Barber were found to be in possession of guns. As a convicted felon, Brea is prohibited from possessing firearms under federal law.
When Barber’s firearm was seized, bags of cocaine were also discovered that were “prepared for distribution.”
Following their guilty pleas, the defendants in this case are facing the following sentences:
- Luis Ruben Martinez Calderon – a minimum of 5 years, up to 40 years in federal prison, for the drug conspiracy charge.
- Quamain Alique Barber – a minimum of 5 years, up to 40 years in federal prison, for the drug conspiracy charge, and a minimum of 5 years, up to life in prison to run consecutive, for the possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking charge.
- Bernardo Antonio Brea – a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for the drug conspiracy charge and a maximum of 15 years in federal prison for the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charge.
- Aisha Nicolle Sanchez – a minimum of 5 years, up to 40 years in federal prison, for the drug conspiracy charge.
- Evelyn Calderon – a minimum of 5 years, up to 40 years in federal prison, for the drug conspiracy charge.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from the Kissimmee Police Department, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Highway Patrol. It is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Dana E. Hill.
