Orange County detectives have identified a teenager who died on Sunday after being found with“obvious signs of trauma” earlier that morning.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the victim in this case has been identified as 18-year-old Kelan J’Juan Rodriguez.

Shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, OCSO deputies were dispatched to the intersection of East Ella J. Gilmore Street and Clarcona Road in South Apopka.

When deputies arrived on-scene, they found a male victim, later identified as Rodriguez, who had sustained traumatic injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

In a media release, OCSO stated that the homicide investigation is still in the early stages. No further details were provided by the agency regarding the case or any potential suspect(s).
