A Daytona Beach man is facing a slew of charges, including attempted murder, in connection with a shooting outside a local restaurant that wounded three people on Friday night.

Shortly after 10:45 p.m. on Friday, June 20, Daytona Beach Police Department officers responded to the South Turn Lounge and Restaurant (1540 S Nova Road in Daytona Beach) in reference to shots being fired, according to DBPD.

The police department stated that when officers arrived, they found three victims near the front entrance of the restaurant who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victims received medical aid before being transported to a local hospital, and they are expected to survive.

Detectives launched an investigation, which revealed that a “white male patron” had been consuming alcohol inside the restaurant when he started acting “belligerent.” Staff members asked him to leave, and he was escorted outside the restaurant, according to DBPD.

The man was later identified by police as 28-year-old Anthony Kaznakoff.

Shortly after being led outside, Kaznakoff allegedly returned to the restaurant and engaged in a “brief verbal exchange” before retrieving a firearm from his waistband. Moments later, Kaznakoff allegedly fired multiple rounds towards the entrance to the restaurant, striking the three victims.

After the shooting incident, Kaznakoff fled from the area in a vehicle. Detectives were quickly able to identify Kaznakoff as the suspected shooter, and his family members helped convince him to surrender to law enforcement, according to DBPD.

Kaznakoff was placed under arrest and booked into Volusia County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond. He is being charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault, one count of second-degree aggravated battery, and one count of using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
