A convicted felon from Orlando is facing more than a decade in prison after pleading guilty to possessing 17 firearms.
On Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced that 31-year-old Latchman Singh has pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to court records, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant at Singh’s home in connection with “state auto theft charges.” During that search, deputies found a total of 17 firearms in Singh’s closet, bedroom, and kitchen.
At least two of the recovered firearms had been reported stolen. Additionally, one of the firearms did not have a serial number, and one of the guns had a silencer attached to it.

As a convicted felon, Singh is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under federal law.
A sentencing hearing for Singh is scheduled to take place on September 25, 2025. He is facing a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison.
Singh has agreed to forfeit the firearms and ammunition that were seized from his home.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. It is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Dana E. Hill.
In addition, this case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, which is a program that brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
