The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 25-year-old man who allegedly stole over $30,000 worth of jewelry from a local pawn shop.

According to VCSO, the suspect – identified as X’Zayveon Devon-Prince Burden – wore a mask and gloves when he entered La Familia Pawn Shop in Orange City on Saturday, June 14, just before closing time.

While inside the shop, Burden allegedly used a crowbar to smash a glass case and steal approximately $32,000 in gold chains and jewelry.

VCSO stated that three employees and two customers were in the store at the time of the theft.

During an ensuing investigation, the sheriff’s office identified Burden as the suspect in this case, and warrants have been issued for his arrest on the following charges: grand theft, occupied burglary, and criminal mischief.
