A pedestrian was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Volusia County.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred at around 12:45 a.m. on Friday, July 25, on S Charles Richard Beall Boulevard in DeBary.
VCSO stated that the pedestrian, identified as a 51-year-old DeBary man, was standing in the middle of the southbound inside lanes when he was hit by a vehicle.
The man sustained injuries that were fatal.
The driver of the vehicle was not hurt and remained at the scene of the collision.
Members of VCSO’s traffic homicide unit are investigating the crash, according to the agency.
