A Brevard County man who pleaded guilty to selling hundreds of grams of methamphetamine, along with over 130 grams of fentanyl, will spend the next two decades in federal prison.

On Friday, August 1, 2025, Senior U.S. District Judge John Antoon II sentenced 41-year-old Christopher Fitzgerald Spivey, Jr. to 20 years’ imprisonment for distributing controlled substances.

Earlier this year, Spivey pleaded guilty to four counts of the drug distribution charge.

According to court records, Spivey distributed fentanyl and methamphetamine to a confidential source on four occasions between November 5 and December 10, 2024. In total, he distributed over 130 grams of fentanyl and more than 1.2 kilograms of pure methamphetamine.

Prior to distributing these drugs, Spivey was convicted of a serious violent felony – aggravated assault upon a law enforcement officer – that resulted in a 10-year prison sentence.

In addition to receiving the 20-year prison sentence, Spivey was ordered by the court to forfeit $10,500, which represents the proceeds of his drug distribution.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Megan Testerman.
