Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Orlando that claimed the life of a woman early Saturday morning.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 700 block of 20th Street at around 2 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, after receiving reports of an aggravated battery incident.

Upon arrival, the deputies found a woman in her 30s with obvious signs of trauma, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“This incident is being investigated as a homicide,” said OCSO in a media release on Saturday morning. “Our detectives are actively investigating this case.”

No further details were provided by law enforcement regarding the deadly shooting, the identity of the victim, or any potential suspect(s).
