A 33-year-old suspect was arrested in Orange County in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an Orlando man early Wednesday morning.

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to The Irlo Hotel (5565 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee) at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, in reference to an “unknown medical problem,” according to OCSO.

When deputies arrived at the hotel, they found a deceased male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was later identified by OCSO as 37-year-old Orlando resident David Donahue-Alayon.

A homicide investigation was launched by OCSO, which led detectives to identifying Shahzaib Ahmed Khan as the suspected shooter in this case.

No further details were provided by OCSO regarding the fatal shooting or Khan’s alleged involvement.

A warrant has been obtained for Khan’s arrest, and he was located by law enforcement and taken into custody on Friday, September 5.

Khan is currently being held without bond at Orange County Jail. He is being charged with murder with a firearm in connection with the shooting death of David Donahue-Alayon, and jail records show that he is facing additional charges for trafficking in amphetamines and fentanyl.
