Alwyn Orlean Bell Raborn, age 99, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by family on September 4, 2025, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was born on December 7, 1925, in Jacksonville, Florida, where she resided for most of her life. She was an accomplished pianist in her young adult life and worked as a supervisor for the U.S. Government for many years until retirement.
In 1947, she married Robert Andrew Raborn and they had two daughters, Rhonda and Connie. Sadly Robert died in 1954 and Alwyn devoted her life to serving God and her family. She was a devout Christian and lived her life spreading love.
In her later years she moved to Altamonte Springs, Florida to be near family and traveled to share her love and time with her children and grandchildren. She was active at Asbury United Methodist Church in Maitland, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Raborn, and brothers Charles Bell, James Bell, Edwin Bell and stepbrother Jack Bell.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Fraxedas (Joaquin), Connie Jenkins (Rick) and the following 6 grandchildren: Robert Fraxedas (Abigail), Jason Fraxedas (Ashley), John Fraxedas (Kelly Porter), Todd Jenkins (April), Jennifer Jenkins Leuellen (James), and Jessica Jenkins Geer (Pat). She is also survived by the following 10 great-grandchildren: Jacob Fraxedas, Emma Fraxedas, Abby Fraxedas and Chase Fraxedas, Lillian Jenkins, Benjamin Jenkins, Jaxon Leuellen, Reese Leuellen, Audrey Geer, and Caroline Geer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many who became “honorary” family members.
