Marcia Skipper, 90, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025. She was born on February 1, 1935, in San Diego, California, to Paul and Carolyn Massmann.
Marcia spent most of her life in Miami, Florida, where she was an active and devoted member of the University Baptist Church of Coral Gables. In 2016, she moved to Oviedo, Florida, and later became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Oviedo. In 2022, she moved to Lutheran Haven, where she enjoyed making new friends and being part of its close-knit community.
Marcia lived a full and joyful life. She loved playing Rummikub and Bunco, and she never turned down a scoop of ice cream. She had a deep love for reading and music, and she delighted in playing the piano. Throughout her life, she was actively involved in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the PTA, and she cherished every moment spent with her family and friends.
Marcia will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, humor, and the joy she brought to those around her.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail Skipper of Bushnell, Florida, and Bethany Skipper (Robin Johnson) of Bushnell, Florida; her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Skipper of Oviedo, Florida; seven grandchildren — Benjamin, Paul, Dean, Kyle (Caitlin), Kaylen, Will, and Charlotte; and two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Everett. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Riley Skipper, Sr.; her son, Jack Riley Skipper, Jr.; and her sister, Lynne Bombard.
Her faith, love for family, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
