Holly Hill police are searching for three suspects after a meetup arranged through social media turned into an armed carjacking on Monday night.

According to the Holly Hill Police Department, officers responded to the 600 block of Center Avenue in Holly Hill at around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 13, after receiving reports of an armed carjacking.

HHPD stated that three victims were allegedly approached by three armed suspects during a “planned meetup.”

The suspects allegedly proceeded to rob the victims at gunpoint, stealing cellphones, an unspecified amount of cash, and a vehicle before fleeing from the area.

The police department stated that the stolen vehicle was later found abandoned in Daytona Beach.

There were no injuries reported, according to Holly Hill police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
