A 27-year-old man died on Monday morning after he lost control of his car and crashed into a concrete wall in Orlando.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at around 4:50 a.m. on Monday, October 27, near the intersection of Holden Avenue and John Young Parkway, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The report stated that a 2017 Hyundai Elantra was traveling eastbound on Holden Avenue, approaching John Young Parkway, when its driver lost control of the vehicle.

As a result, the Hyundai left the roadway and traveled onto the median before veering onto the outside shoulder. Moments later, the vehicle struck a concrete wall.

The Hyundai’s driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, according to the report.

A trooper noted in the report that the crash remains under investigation.
