An early morning crash on Interstate 4 in Orange County left on person dead on Saturday.

The accident, which involved a 2013 Hyundai Elantra and 2015 Kia Sedona, occurred at around 3:05 a.m. on Saturday, November, near mile marker 67 (World Center Drive) on I-4 eastbound, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

An FHP trooper mentioned in the report that the Hyundai’s driver lost control of the vehicle while approaching mile marker 67. As a result, the Hyundai ran off the roadway and onto the median before striking a guardrail.

Moments later, the Hyundai veered across the eastbound travel lanes and entered the direct path of the Kia, resulting in a collision.

The adult male driver of the Hyundai sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. No further details were provided in the report regarding his identity.

The Kia’s driver, a 69-year-old Ocoee man, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
