New Smyrna Beach police have arrested four juvenile suspects after they allegedly broke into multiple vehicles at an apartment complex early Tuesday morning.
According to the New Smyrna Beach Police Department, officers responded to Newport Sound Apartments (10101 Newport Sound Place in New Smyrna Beach) at around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, after receiving reports of several suspects breaking into vehicles in the area.
When officers arrived at the apartment complex, they quickly located several juveniles who matched the description of the suspects. A brief foot pursuit ensued, and two of the juveniles were detained by the officers.
Approximately an hour later, a third juvenile suspect was apprehended by officers. During the investigation, a fourth juvenile suspect was also identified and taken into custody.
“Several victims who had their vehicles burglarized have been identified,” said NSBPD in a social media post on Tuesday afternoon.
