A 27-year-old man is facing theft-related charges after a GPS tracker led Cocoa Beach detectives to a stolen golf cart.

Back on November 15, 2025, at around 9:10 a.m., Cocoa Beach Police Department officers responded to 85 S Atlantic Avenue in reference to a stolen golf cart. The theft had reportedly occurred earlier that morning, according to CBPD.

The golf cart’s owner managed to track the vehicle using an onboard GPS device, which led officers to the area of Terri Lane in Cocoa.

CBPD detectives were joined by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and they began searching the area and conducting interviews. After a brief search, the stolen golf cart was located behind a nearby residence.

The police department stated that the golf cart was covered by branches, and it had been partially spray-painted black. The golf cart was returned to its owner that same day.

An investigation ensued, and Cocoa Beach detectives eventually identified 27-year-old Cocoa resident Brandon Frank Hall as the suspected golf cart thief.

On Monday, January 19, 2026, Hall was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and dealing in stolen property in connection with this case. He was already being held at Brevard County Jail on unrelated charges, and he remains in custody without bond.

If anyone has information related to this case, the Cocoa Beach Police Department asks that you contact Detective Sergeant Taylor Payne at 321-868-3344.
