Rosalind G. Weinstein, also known as Roz, passed away January 16, 2026, at the age of 86 in Apopka, Fl. She was born April 11, 1939, in Guilford, CT. Roz was a beloved mother to William Weinstein (Lisa) and Michele Weinstein Allison. She was a cherished Grandma to Andy Allison, Kyle Weinstein, Seth Weinstein, Ethan Weinstein, Amanda Weinstein, Cole Weinstein, Channah Weinstein and Max Weinstein. Roz is survived by her niece Linda Brenner (Mark) and nephew Jeffrey Moss. Roz is preceded in death by her loving husband Bernard M. Weinstein, her son Joseph Weinstein, her parents and her sister Sandra Moss.
Roz was a graduate of Penn State University where she majored in bacteriology and met her love Bernie. After graduation she worked for Pfizer labs in CT until they moved to the Maitland area. She later pursued an accounting degree from UCF and became a comptroller/bookkeeper until she retired.
Outside of her professional life, Roz was an avid reader of the classics and anything political or history. Roz was a huge PSU Nittany Lion football fan and loved her Yankees. She had a love of the family dogs, wanted one always sitting next to her on the couch.
A graveside service will be held at Temple Israel Cemetery, Monday January 19″, where Roz worshipped at Temple Israel. The funeral arrangements are being handled by DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, FL.
