Mark Wesley Venable, 68, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026.
Mark was born on March 31, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Mary Gwendolyn Venable and Charles Wesley Venable. He graduated from Clarkston High School in 1975 before eventually making Orlando his home—a place he would spend most of his life building both a career and a community.
After moving to Orlando, Mark dedicated 33 years of service to Kmart, where he was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment. A natural businessman, he took pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.
In December 2025, Mark married his longtime partner of 20 years, Kathi Venable. Their relationship was rooted in love, loyalty, and shared life experiences, and their marriage was a meaningful and joyful chapter in Mark’s life.
Outside of work, Mark embraced life fully. He was an accomplished dart player, an avid golfer, and happiest when spending time on the lake. Whether competing, relaxing outdoors, or enjoying time with those he loved, Mark had a way of finding joy in simple pleasures.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kathi Venable; his daughter, Kelsey Sardone; and his brothers, Brent Venable and Mike McKay. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
