A fiery single-vehicle crash in Osceola County claimed the life of a 20-year-old Davenport woman on Friday night.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred at around 11:53 p.m. on Friday, February 6, near the intersection of Osceola Polk Line Road and Heritage Pass in Osceola County.
An FHP trooper noted that the Davenport woman was traveling westbound on Osceola Polk Line Road, east of Heritage Pass, at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her 2017 Ford Fusion.
The car then veered off the roadway to the left and struck a tree. Shortly after the collision, the car became fully engulfed in flames.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
