Sandra Potter Olson of Old Lyme, entered into eternal rest Feb. 4, 2026.
Sandra, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Leita W. Potter, was born in New Haven, March 20, 1940. She earned her B.S. degree in education at Southern Connecticut State University.
She was blessed to be survived by her devoted sons: Eric Olson and wife Jamie of Orlando, Fla., Scott Olson and wife Kimberly of Holly Springs, N.C., and Todd Olson and wife Rebekah of Mystic. Sandra is also survived by five precious grandchildren: Peyton Olson of Orlando, Fla., Katelyn and Matthew Olson of Holly Springs, N.C., and Samuel and Elisabeth Olson of Mystic. She was predeceased by her loving siblings, Carol Potter Heffernan of Branford, Edward Potter of Branford, and Bruce Potter of Saddle Brook, N.J. each of whom blessed her with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves many devoted and loving friends, especially Bonnie DeLucia of Woodbridge, a dear life-long friend.
Sandra gave back to the local community through her volunteer work with Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, and Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church in Old Lyme.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Masonicare Hospice of Norwich.
