A pet daycare in Altamonte Springs was evacuated early Sunday morning after a fire ignited inside a nearby storage unit.
Multiple Seminole County Fire Department units responded to the 1300 block of E Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs at around 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, February 15, after receiving reports of a commercial structure fire, according to SCFD.
Upon arrival, SCFD crews entered a local safety business and observed that a storage unit was on fire. The firefighters moved quickly and extinguished the flames.
The fire department stated that its crews also evacuated four dogs and one cat from a pet daycare, which was located next door to the safety business.
