A Kissimmee Police Department officer was arrested for allegedly accessing and sharing the agency’s internal camera footage for personal reasons.
On Thursday, March 5, 2026, KPD Lieutenant Lacey Santone was booked into Osceola County Jail and charged with two computer-related crimes following a criminal investigation, according to the police department.
Back in October of 2025, KPD launched an investigation after its Internal Affairs Unit received a report that then-Sergeant Santone had acted “unprofessionally and possibly illegally.” Specifically, Santone had reportedly accessed the “building video system” to view footage of Deputy Chief Wilson Munoz “walking out of the building” after he was let go by the agency.
This footage was then allegedly shown by Santone to the employees she supervised, and she reportedly “laughed and mocked” Munoz, according to KPD.
As a result of the October investigation, Internal Affairs determined that Santone had violated KPD’s general order regarding unauthorized use of city equipment.
In December of 2025, an officer came forward with additional information related to Santone’s Internal Affairs investigation, which had been closed two months earlier, according to KPD.
Upon receiving this additional information, KPD initiated a criminal investigation into Santone, who had been promoted to lieutenant. According to police, this investigation allegedly revealed that Santone had accessed the agency’s internal camera system multiple times for personal reasons while she was on and off duty.
Additionally, Santone reportedly used her personal cellphone to record video footage from the internal camera system before sharing this footage with two officers who were not authorized to access or view it.
KPD worked closely with the State Attorney’s Office and obtained a warrant for Santone’s arrest. She voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement earlier this week, and she was transported to Osceola County Jail.
Shortly after her arrest, Santone was relieved of her duties and placed on administrative leave without pay pending the outcome of the criminal case and administrative investigation.
