Henry Hiram Dixon Jr., 79, passed away on April 8, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on May 19, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida. Henry lived a life marked by dedication to his family, career, and country.

After graduating from Jonesboro High School, Henry pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia. He then proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, exemplifying his commitment to service and duty.

In 1976, Henry began a long and rewarding career with Chick-fil-A at the Orlando Fashion Square Mall. His dedication and strong work ethic were evident throughout the years, and in 2001, he continued his journey at the Colonial Plaza Marketplace location. After decades of faithful service to both the company and its patrons, Henry retired in December 2022. He made a lasting impact on the Orlando market and on countless lives through his teaching, guidance, and mentorship.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hiram Dixon Sr. and Myrtle Irene (Clark) Dixon. He is survived by his beloved spouse, John Joseph Lindsey; his brother, Dale Dixon, and sister-in-law Sandra Dixon, along with their family—David (grandniece Poppy, and Poppy’s mother, Lauren Jo), Becky Louwagie and husband Ross, and Sarah Samuels and husband Bobby; and his sister, Brenda Wire, and brother-in-law David Wire, along with their daughter Micaela.

He is also lovingly remembered by the children of his heart, Sidge and Jeane Boast, and by his grandsons, Jordan and wife, Maria, Bryson, and Camden, who carry his spirit forward.

Henry embraced life to the fullest, finding joy in travel, the thrill of winning jackpots, and, most of all, spending time with friends and family. He carried many roles with grace—devoted spouse, respected leader, trusted mentor, loyal friend, big brother, uncle, and proud papa. As a devoted partner to Joe, the two were inseparable, sharing countless adventures and cherished moments together.

Henry had a special gift for sharing wisdom, particularly with his nieces, nephew, and grandsons. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his gracious and generous spirit.

Henry’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was deeply cherished, widely respected, and will be profoundly missed. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.” — Proverbs 22:1
