prison or jail in penitentiary with bars and open door.

A Kissimmee man will spend more than 17 years behind bars for receiving numerous videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced that 38-year-old Christian Eric Harmon has been sentenced to 17 years and 6 months in federal prison for receipt of child sexual abuse material.

Harmon pleaded guilty to the charge in August 2025.

According to court records, Harmon chatted with another user on an unspecified “internet-based application” on April 7, 2024.

During that online chat, Harmon requested child pornography. He then received approximately 22 “illicit videos,” which showed young children, including infants, being sexually abused.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and it was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kaley Austin-Aronson.

Additionally, this case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
