An Orlando resident has claimed a $1 million prize from a $50 scratch-off lottery ticket purchased at a gas station in New Smyrna Beach.
On Monday, the Florida Lottery announced that the lucky winner visited one of its district offices to claim a $1 million prize from the $25MM Gold Rush Multiplier scratch-off game. They chose to receive their winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $638,100.
The identity of the winner was not released by lottery officials.
The winning scratch-off was purchased at the Circle K gas station located at 1801 State Road 44 in New Smyrna Beach.
The $25MM Gold Rush Multiplier game features more than $1.2 billion in total cash prizes, including 60 prizes of $1 million and two top prizes of $25 million. The odds of winning $25 million in the game are approximately 1-in-16,639,785.
