Gary William Click, a lifelong resident of Orlando, died at home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, after a lengthy illness, with his loving wife, Salvadora, and family, by his side. He was born on September 27, 1946, in Orlando and graduated from Edgewater High School in 1964.

Gary attended Brevard College in Brevard, North Carolina, before joining the U.S. Navy. Following his service in the Philippines, he returned to Florida and completed his education at Florida Technological University, now the University of Central Florida, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in 1972. He then worked for 35 years with the State of Florida before retiring as an investigator supervisor in 2005.

Gary had many interests. He was an excellent guitarist who enjoyed playing with his friends and family. An avid sailor, he also loved traveling and family outings. He especially enjoyed youth soccer and was instrumental in bringing it to Central Florida, where he coached a team for several years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ruth Deaver, stepfather, Mac Deaver, and son, Casey Click. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Salvadora Click, son, Jackson Click, stepdaughter, Karla (Heath) Jones and stepsons Yuri (Kim) and Arby (Franki) Gonzalez.

Gary was adored by his six grandchildren who were thrilled to routinely see him at their sporting and special events and sweetly called him “Lito” (the Spanish diminutive of “grandfather”).
