Six years after 22-year-old Ricardo De Lara was fatally shot inside a Kissimmee home, local detectives are seeking tips from the public that could help solve this cold case.
On May 16, 2020, at approximately 12:05 a.m., KPD officers responded to a residence located at 3434 Fox Crossing Drive in Kissimmee after receiving reports of gunshots in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found a deceased male victim inside the home who had sustained several gunshot wounds. He was identified as De Lara.
Kissimmee detectives have continued their investigation into this case, but it remains unsolved six years after the deadly shooting.
The police department is turning to the public in the hopes that someone has information that could help solve this case and bring De Lara’s killer(s) to justice.
“Someone may know what happened that night,” said KPD in a media release on Saturday, May 16, 2026. “Even the smallest detail could make a difference.”
