An Altamonte Springs resident is celebrating a massive payday after claiming a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s 500X THE CASH scratch-off game.
Earlier this week, the lucky winner visited one of the Florida Lottery’s district offices to claim the $1 million prize.
The winner, whose name is currently exempt from public release, chose to receive their winnings as a one-time, lump-sum cash payment of $640,000, according to Florida Lottery records.
The winning scratch-off was purchased at Wali Minimart located at 151 Lynchfield Avenue in Altamonte Springs.
The 500X THE CASH scratch-off series is a $50 game that features over $1.6 billion in total prizes, ranging from $100 to the top prize of $25 million, which is the largest prize ever offered on a Florida scratch-off game. The overall odds of winning the $25 million prize are 1-in-21,920,355.
