A 30-year-old former campus monitor at Liberty High School in Kissimmee was arrested after allegedly having inappropriate contact with students and attempting to flee from law enforcement.

On Sunday, May 17, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a parent of a student at Liberty High School (4250 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee).

According to OCSO, a responding deputy launched an investigation into alleged inappropriate conversations between the student and an adult campus monitor, identified as Justice Williams Jones.

During the investigation, the deputy reportedly located a second student who claimed to have been “verbally propositioned” by Jones.

A warrant was issued for Jones’ arrest. The sheriff’s office noted that Jones had already been terminated from Osceola County Public Schools on Friday, May 15, for an unrelated issue, and he had returned to his residence in Vero Beach.

Despite his prior termination, Jones returned to Liberty High School on Thursday, May 21, and deputies approached him while he was sitting in his vehicle.

In a media release, OCSO stated that Jones fled from the deputies. He was subsequently apprehended on John Young Parkway after getting caught in traffic and surrounded by law enforcement.

During an interview with detectives, Jones allegedly admitted to fleeing from deputies and having inappropriate contact with Liberty High School students.

Jones was placed under arrest and booked into Osceola County Jail. He is being charged with attempted sexual battery on a minor (one count) and fleeing and eluding a traffic stop (one count).

The investigation into this case remains ongoing.
