It’s never easy to try to sum up a person’s life in a few short minutes, but knowing everyone already knows what Josefa accomplished makes this easier.
We all remember and recognize a strong determined woman who never let life’s obstacles stop her from what she set out to do.
She was self-taught – which speaks to her intelligence, she was strong-willed and faith filled so she could be strong for everyone, and she was always busy- running errands for friends, taking care of business, constantly doing things for others but still taking care of her family 100% of the time.
We’re not saying “good-bye” to a Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend, but wishing a gentle and serene transition to someone we all love in our hearts and deep down we know “Rest in Peace”is not a suitable epitaph for ourJosefa who will always be looking out for us, constantly vigilant and probably looking for a stove to prepare a meal and bake a cake when it’s our time to join her in the eternal splendor she so richly deserves.
