A Maitland home was destroyed by a large fire over the weekend, prompting a multi-agency emergency response to battle the blaze.
On the afternoon of Sunday, June 14, Maitland Fire Rescue Department crews responded to a residence located on Avonwood Court, just south of Fennell Street, to assist Orange County Fire Rescue in combating the house fire, according to MFRD.

Neighbors in the area reportedly told responding fire crews that the structure was unoccupied at the time the fire broke out.

Firefighters eventually extinguished the flames, and the property was thoroughly searched by Orange County Fire Rescue personnel.

There were no injuries reported.
