City closing Lake Eola Swan Boats for upgrades

The city of Orlando will temporarily close its popular Lake Eola Swan Boats to make a series of upgrades to the facilities.

The dock, which is located along the lake in downtown Orlando, will close beginning Monday, February 28 for repairs.

According to city officials, the weathered dock has exceeded its lifespan and needs to be replaced. The larger dock will accommodate the expanded swan boat fleet of 12 boats.

Construction is expected to be complete in April.
