Driver killed in single-vehicle accident in Orange County

A driver was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Orange County this afternoon.

According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers are on the sceen of a single-vehicle accident that took place near the intersection of Lake Meadow Road and Lauren Beth Avenue around 1:35 p.m. today.

Authorities say a Kia Optima struck a tree and the driver, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
