A group of local students will perform a series of free plays against gun violence at the Orlando Repertory Theater this week.
The show takes place on Wednesday, April 20, beginning at 7 p.m. at the theater, which is located at 1001 E Princeton Street. The doors to the event open at 6:30 p.m., with multiple 10-minute readings planned for the evening.
Those include Allegiance by Arianna Brumfield​, In My Sights by Tain Leonard-Peck,​ Salted Lemonade by Taylor Lafayette, It’s Okay by Anya Jiménez, Rehearsal by Willa Colleary, Southside Summer by McKennzie Boyd, Undo Redo by Cameron Thiesing​, and Write Their Wrongs by Wyn Alyse Thomas​.
According to the theater, the staged readings include gun shot sound effects, adult language, and content related to school shootings, racism, and gun violence.
