A group of local students will perform a series of free plays against gun violence at the Orlando Repertory Theater this week.
The show takes place on Wednesday, April 20, beginning at 7 p.m. at the theater, which is located at 1001 E Princeton Street. The doors to the event open at 6:30 p.m., with multiple 10-minute readings planned for the evening.
Those include Allegiance by Arianna Brumfield, In My Sights by Tain Leonard-Peck, Salted Lemonade by Taylor Lafayette, It’s Okay by Anya Jiménez, Rehearsal by Willa Colleary, Southside Summer by McKennzie Boyd, Undo Redo by Cameron Thiesing, and Write Their Wrongs by Wyn Alyse Thomas.
According to the theater, the staged readings include gun shot sound effects, adult language, and content related to school shootings, racism, and gun violence.
